ABOUT THE PRACTICE
I started this practice in honor of my late sister who always encouraged me to bold and never to be afraid to be unique and express my individuality. A common topic between us was social justice issues, specifically in relation with women. We live in a society where inequality and sexism continues to contaminate our society, so, it's important to create spaces for those who identify as women to be their true authentic selves. Womanhood is a spectrum that needs to be celebrated! Sometimes, we have to do some digging to find our authentic selves before we throw the confetti. My hope is to create an inclusive and affirming environment to support the many different ways to be a woman!
One of the core values of this practice is to create an affirming and inclusive environment for all individuals seeking mental health services.

FAQ'S
Therapy can be intimidating, especially if youre not sure what to expect. here are some common questions.
Where should I be to have my online therapy session?
Sometimes due to our living environments and schedules, it can be difficult to find privacy for a session. Finding a space for you to have privacy is a must! Unfortunely, sessions wont be able to be held without the privacy. This is due to laws and regulations but mostly, for some folks, therapy is the time to bring up all the things we like to keep hidden from others, so it wont be as affective! HOWEVER: I do encourage clients to have their pets present if they would like. Our pets can help lower our anxiety (there is science behind this!!) and help feel more comfortable.
Whats the first session like?
In your first session, it may resemble an interview in some ways. We'll conduct an assessment to collect your personal history and treatment requirements. We'll also go over office policies, as well as privacy and confidentiality matters. This initial meeting will serve as an opportunity to gauge your comfort level with the therapist.
How long will I need therapy?
The duration of your therapy journey may vary, influenced by several factors such as the seriousness of your concerns, your therapy objectives, and more. You can have a more in-depth discussion about this with your therapist.
What if I dont like my therapist?
Discovering the ideal therapist can resemble the process of dating or exploring your options. Throughout your therapy experience, your therapist might periodically inquire about your progress and whether you find the sessions beneficial. If you're not connecting well with your therapist, don't hesitate to communicate this. They can potentially adjust their approach or suggest a referral to another therapist better suited to your needs.
